So, you’re probably all wondering where I’ve been, and honestly I can’t say that the last few months have been that exciting or anything, I just haven’t had much time to write or much to write about.

I found that I was spending too much time sitting at the computer, so I rearranged the living room so that the desk is now in the bedroom and the computer is on top of a tall-boy dresser so that at least if I am on the computer more than I ought to be (and I’m not nearly as much as I was) I have to stand, so at least I’m burning more calories.

Two days ago, a young man with a wife and two children was found dead by his ATV on the way to one of the lakes.

For two days, rumours circulated about how he was found and when he was found and what the circumstances and details of his death were, but it’s finally been publically announced that it was a suicide. (more…)

I’m done with the arctic.

I don’t mean to be a drama queen and flip out and fake-faint and all, but honestly, I’m done.

There are things that I love about living here - the climate (shush), the laid back way of life, the sense of community - but there are some things that I am just ready to be done with, and James feels the same way. (more…)
